Non Surgical Brazilian Butt Lift

Non Surgical Brazilian Butt Lift
Table of Contents

Sir Mix-A-Lot loves big butts and he cannot lie.   Queen sings the praises of “Fat Bottomed Girls” and Beyonce boasts her body being so “bootylicious”.  As a society, we love a big ole booty.  So what happens if we weren’t born with one?  Can’t afford the financial or downtime sacrifice of a surgical BBL?  Love to ride your Peloton but notice things are flatter in the rear area?  Had a successful course of treatment with GLP-1 medications and now lost some muscle and padding?

    The Solution: Biostimulators

I have good news for you… there’s still hope and it comes in the form of biostimulators.  Biostimulators have taken the aesthetic world by storm with their ease of use, countless indications and minimal downsides.  One of the many uses for these revolutionary injectables is to build up that booty, otherwise know as a liquid BBL.   Let me break this down for you…

    What Are Radiesse and Sculptra?

The two biostimulators we are using for this procedure are Radiesse and Sculptra.  Radiesse is a dermal filler which is made of calcium hydroxyapatite gel microspheres (CaHA).  These tiny little spheres of goodness are injected with the goal of stimulating the body’s natural collagen.  Sculptra is also a dermal filler made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) and is used to stimulate collagen and elastin.  By injecting one or both of these in the proper planes of the tissues of the buttocks, we can restore volume and repair skin structure which leads to improved elasticity, volume and contour.

Radiesse vs. Sculptra: How to Choose

That’s a lot of technical jargon… how do you know which one to choose?  The truth is, the choice is easy!  They both work beautifully together.  The analogy I like best is imagining radiesse as baking the cake and sculptra as the icing for the cake.  Radiesse will generally offer a more immediate result with respect to volume and contour while Sculptra results are initially subtle and continue to improve over time as collagen production takes off.  Radiesse generally will last for 12-18 months and sculptra, up to 2 years depending on how your body metabolizes the products.  Ultimately, the choice of one or both, is made after thorough consultation to determine what is needed to reach the desired result based on your personal anatomy.

What to Expect During a Liquid BBL

So now that you’ve made the decision to have a Liquid BBL… what should you expect?

The procedure is very well-tolerated and comfortable.  The product is injected via injections through a small canula (hollow tube).  The entry point for the cannula is no bigger than any injection you have gotten in the past and I numb the area to improve comfort.    I use the fewest entry points as possible to keep sticks to a minimum.  Once the injections are complete, the area will be massaged for about 5 minutes and we will ask that you massage the treated area 5 times per day for 5 minutes each time for a total of 5 days following the procedure.  You are free to exercise the very next day and should not expect any prolonged discomfort.
